Before you submit

Choose a topic within the multidisciplinary scope of JSRT. Submit original work that is not under consideration elsewhere. All authors must approve the manuscript and its submission. Disclose related papers, prior dissemination and any overlapping material in the cover letter.

Manuscript format

Use the finalized JSRT Master Manuscript Template 2026: A4 pages with 1-inch margins, Times New Roman, a 20 pt title, 10 pt author names and affiliations, 9 pt abstract and keywords, 10 pt body and references, 10 pt bold section headings, and 9 pt captions. Use single spacing and APA 7 references.

Organize your research

Provide a concise title, abstract, keywords and an introduction that states the research question. Explain methods sufficiently for assessment and replication. Present results clearly, distinguish interpretation from observation, discuss limitations and support conclusions with evidence. For review papers, describe how literature was identified and selected.

Prepare for double-blind review

Supply author names, affiliations, contact details and ORCID identifiers on a separate title page. Remove identifying details from the review manuscript, file properties and tracked changes. Cite your prior work in the third person. Provide identifiable funding or ethics details separately if masking them is necessary for review; restore complete information in the accepted version.

Tables, figures and references

Number tables and figures in order, provide meaningful captions and cite each in the text. Define symbols and abbreviations. Obtain permission for material that is not covered by a suitable reuse licence. Check every reference against its original source, use APA 7, and include verified DOI links where available.

Required declarations

Include author contributions, funding, competing interests, ethics approval and consent where relevant, data availability, and disclosure of AI-assisted tools. Explain why a declaration is not applicable when necessary. Do not include participant identifiers or confidential data in public files.

Originality screening

Manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or Metrifind. Similarity should be below 15%, subject to editorial assessment of the sources and nature of the overlap. A percentage alone does not determine originality: unattributed copying, recycled results and inappropriate reuse may require action even below the threshold.

Review and decisions

JSRT uses double-blind peer review. The target initial screening time is 2–3 business days; reviewer assignment is targeted within 2–5 days; typical external review takes 7–14 days; and the target first decision is 14–21 days from submission. These are targets, not guarantees. Reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, revisions and ethical checks can extend the process.

Publication charge

The article processing charge is ₹2,000 per accepted article, payable after editorial acceptance. Payment does not purchase acceptance or influence the editorial decision.
