The unorganized or informal sector has also been termed "The non-farm economic activities" especially in relation to rural economy. This means that there are other economic activities carried out by the peasants and farmers which are not related to the farming economic system or are being carried out in parallel with farming activities. A woman is treated and respected as a mother, a wife, a daughter or a daughter-in-law but never as an independent being. To be born as a woman means to inhabit, from early infancy to the last day of life, a psychological world that is different from that of a man and much of the frustration and discrimination in woman’s life stems from this fact. The non-existence of the above factors may obstruct the resonance industrial relation, demotivate the workers, create job dissatisfaction, and increase labour turnover and absenteeism. No denying the fact that good, favorable socio-economic condition of the workers may act as a booster, which in turn may establish congenial industrial relations. In this backdrop, an attempt has been made to find out the socio-economic conditions of the women workers engaged in the selected brick kiln factories in Gulbarga Taluka. The main objectives of the studies are to understand the problems faced by informal brick kiln units. To understand the nature of work in the selected units. To analyse the socio-economic status of workers the selected units. For the present Research a research method containing data collection and analysis is followed.
