In this project, an embedded fingerprint recognition system for authentication for voting systems has been proposed. The system is implemented on an embedded platform and equipped with a novel finger-vein recognition algorithm. The proposed system consists of two modules: image recognition module, human machine communication module. The Embedded main board including the Microcontroller chip, memory (flash), and communication port is used to execute the finger-vein recognition algorithm and communicate with the peripheral device. The human machine communication module (LED or LCD) is used to display recognition results and receive inputs from users. Our proposed system is an intelligent security system. Here we developed a secure voting system for elections. If an authenticated person voted it sends a GSM message to the mobile, otherwise it activates a buzzer and also SMS sent to the particular person.
