Floods are among the most destructive natural disasters, causing severe damage to human life, infrastructure, and the environment. Traditional flood monitoring systems lack real-time capabilities and early warning mechanisms, resulting in delayed responses. This paper presents an IoT-enabled flood management system integrated with cloud computing for real-time monitoring, prediction, and alert dissemination. The proposed system utilizes water-level sensors, rainfall sensors, soil moisture sensors, MEMS accelerometers, and microcontrollers such as Arduino UNO to collect environmental parameters. Data is transmitted wirelessly using Wi-Fi modules to a cloud platform for storage, visualization, and analysis. Threshold-based algorithms and predictive analytics are applied to detect abnormal conditions and generate early alerts via SMS, mobile applications, and buzzer alarms. The system enhances reliability, coverage, and response time compared to traditional methods. Experimental validation demonstrates improved accuracy and real-time performance suitable for disaster-prone regions.
