Transparent tool use with human responsibility.
Disclosure
Identify any generative AI or AI-assisted tools used in preparing the work and explain their purpose and extent of use. Describe AI methods that are part of the research in the methods section sufficiently for evaluation.
Responsibility and accuracy
Authors must verify facts, citations, analyses and originality. AI tools cannot be authors. Do not submit invented references, fabricated data or misleading images, whether produced manually or by a tool.
Confidentiality
Do not enter confidential manuscripts, participant information or restricted datasets into external tools without appropriate authorization and safeguards. Reviewers and editors must protect submitted material.
Research images and data
Explain legitimate computational processing. Do not alter images, figures or data in a way that misrepresents the underlying evidence.
