Disclosure
Tell the editor about any public preprint, conference version, thesis or other prior dissemination and provide its identifier or link. Explain overlap with the submitted manuscript.
Editorial assessment
Ask the journal about suitability where prior publication status is uncertain. Prior dissemination should not be hidden, and the submission must not misrepresent previously published findings as new.
Version clarity
Clearly identify the version being shared. Once the final article is published, link related public versions to the journal record where feasible.
