JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY
Originality and similarity
Assess overlap in context and preserve a trustworthy research record.
Screening standard
Manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or Metrifind. Similarity should be below 15%, subject to editorial assessment of the sources and nature of the overlap. A percentage alone does not determine originality: unattributed copying, recycled results and inappropriate reuse may require action even below the threshold.
Author responsibilities
Quote and cite sources appropriately, credit reused methods and disclose earlier related publications. Do not present another person’s text, ideas, images, code or data as your own. Disclose reuse of your own published material and obtain permissions where required.
Editorial assessment
Editors consider the location, extent and nature of matches, source attribution and the manuscript’s contribution. They may request clarification, correction or supporting evidence. Serious concerns may lead to rejection or a post-publication investigation.
Duplicate submission and redundant publication
Do not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Identify related manuscripts and explain how the submission differs. Translated, secondary or overlapping publication requires transparent disclosure and editorial consideration.
